Campers are here!!!

Aaron and I got up early this morning to take the bus into town to pick up campers. Aaron transfered his CDL to Alaska last week and is officially one of Victory's many bus drivers. It is fun to bring campers to camp, there is always quite a bit of excitement on the first day of camp. There were many young campers that had never been to camp, and older campers were telling them of the water trampoline and blob and other fun things to do. When we pulled into camp, the counselors went wild! They have so much energy on the first day, it is always fun to be a part of the craziness that happens when the campers arrive.

Aaron and I are finding our place here at camp. Aaron is helping lead the A/V (audio/visual) team. and I have been following him around helping out where I can. So far the team has put together name boards with pictures of all the counselors for the campers and they are working on a huge project for Frontier's chapel. Frontier is going to have a video every night instead of a main speaker. in this video they will learn some biblical truth that ties into their bible studies they do with their counselors. Aaron and his team have been very busy this past week taping and editing this video, but i think it is going to turn out pretty good Also Aaron is in charge of rapping up one of Frontier's chapels. After the video every night one of the staff is going to give a short 8-10 minute rap up talk with some other biblical truth. Aaron is doing his rap up tues or thursday and thinks he may do something with solving a rubics cube and talking about the different steps and challenges of being a Christian. It would be good to pray for him as he finishes making his speech and each night as he gives his talk that he would be heard by campers and help them to know God better through it.

The only other news on the home front is that we officially adopted a dog last weekend. He is a black lab that showed up at my parents house through some friends and we have decided to make him a camp dog. His name is Tank and I think that he really enjoys being around so many people here at victory. I hope everyone enjoys this update and I will try to update sooner next time!
