It's been way to long....

We have been awful at updating this website and letting you in on what has been happening in our lives!
Let me fill you in a bit and see if I can bring you a bit up to speed.

After camp ended last summer, Aaron and I quickly transitioned into new roles. Aaron's responsibility at camp change significantly and he stepped into the role as program director. He remained the youth pastor at Glacier View Church and all of sudden became really busy.

I took a full time position teaching at Glacier View School and had a chance to teach everything from Advanced Math down to Kindergarten reading. This was a lot of fun for me and gave me a chance to build better relationships with our youth group kids and put my heart for teaching into action.

Throughout the fall and into Winter both of us had a hard time recuperating from summer, and camp went through a lot of stressful changes. Not only did Aaron have a full plate of responsibilities every time he stepped into the office, we had a lot of transition among the staff. We are were sad to say goodbye to the Cornfields, the Doughertys, and the Regiers. But were excited to welcome the new staff families the Busenitz, Leggs, Ruischs, Kolbs, and Cotes all joined our staff at different times throughout the summer and winter of this past year.

Fall and winter although stressful went great. Todd and Becca Busentiz became permanent volunteers with the youth group, and just when Aaron was feeling overwhelmed with program responsibilities Jamie Ruisch moved up to help him as part of a program team.

Aaron and I were able to spend a week and a half with his family in Michigan this winter over Christmas, and attend a wedding of a friend and form staff member. It was a good chance for us to relax a little bit and get ready for the rest of winter. We also had the chance to do a little vacation of our own and headed down to Hawaii for Spring break. This was a great time for Aaron and I to isolate ourselves from the business of our lives and just soak up some much needed sun.

With many other changes happening in our lives. We found out in January that we are adding to our family. We are excited to be having a little girl September 26th, and look forward to being parents. With changes in positions at the school, we are going to transition again and I will be a stay at home mom. I am excited for this new stage in my life.

That brings us to where we are now. Aaron has kicked off the summer as program director with a very promising staff. We are bit smaller than we have been in the past, but are really excited with who is here and the heart they have for the ministry. We could still use prayer that God would fully work out a nurse for the summer, but are content and confident that God will provide for every need as it arises.

Aaron's job this summer is to oversee all the camps. He was the person in charge of hiring our staff, and he will be in charge of helping make things run smoothly. We are not sure exactly what this will entail, but we know that God will provide him with the knowledge to do his job as it unfolds. He will also be filling in down at waterfront life-guarding.

Hopefully I will keep this updated a little more regularly this summer and keep you informed as to what is happening and how you can be praying for us here at camp!
