This weekend was a great weekend for Aaron and I to get some stuff done around the house before we prepare for the busy season of camp. I got many flowers planted outside and Raylee played in her water table outside. Aaron did some work in and out of the house. It was relaxing and fun. Then today we went into town to Celebrate My Grandpa Floyd's Birthday. We spent the afternoon basking in the sun (that finally showed up) and hanging out with family. It was a great time!
We ended the long weekend by picking up a few of our summer staff. One of the girls we picked up is a first time Alaskan visitor... so it was fun to tell her about Alaska and talk about the bears we see and don't see... shortly after telling her that we rarely see bears around camp, in fact I had never seen one around camp, we see a bear just chilling in a tree watching traffic go by! It was a sweet sighting!
Here are some pictures of our weekend to show you what we did and saw.
Tea Party with Grandma Floyd!
sometimes we sit on the slide and sometimes if it is short, we walk down the slide...
Aaron showing raylee how to drive her new jeep!
This is the bear we just saw by our house!
