The summer's passing by...

Wow I cant believe how fast the summer is going already. We have been very busy with camp, and traveling back to Michigan for Matt and Tara's wedding. Camp has been going well, and we are now into our sixth week of campers with only two more after this week. I have also started as the youth pastor at Glacierview as of the first of July. LIfe in Alaska has been a lot of fun so far, but I miss home a lot. I have some great friends and family down in Michigan, and after our short trip there I realized that even more. It will be hard for me to be up here so far away from the friends that have been a part of my life for so long.

We have been adjusting to life in Alaska pretty well so far. The nearest grocery store is a little over an hour away, and the same with pretty much all civilization. We have a small house which was fine until we got a dog... he takes up a lot of space. Oh and we have a dog, which is something new for me, and an adjustment that I have been enjoying a lot. He is a black lab, his name is tank and he is living up to the name quite well as he is getting closer to being a year old and growing huge. I am really looking forward to starting the youth ministry in the fall, and to get back into a position that I can see my skills being used the best. I have enjoyed working with the AV Team, but I am looking forward to getting into the positions that I came here to be a part of. We will be getting an update out in a few weeks that will include a few more details as to what we have been up to. I hope you enjoy, and thanks again for all your support.

Aaron
