The near and almost here future...

So tomorrow we head out to Ecuador with a mission team of 5 adults and 8 jr. and sr. high students.  We are excited and a little nervous as we have never led a team like this before, but I can already see how God has been at work so far in providing for our financial needs as we get ready to go and bringing our team together for this trip!  All our bags have been weighed in and are ready to fly, passports have been collected, and the final details seem to be falling into place.

We fly out tomorrow at 11:59pm alaskan time and it'll be about 22 hrs of traveling time to get to Quito, Ecuador.  Tuesday we head out from Quito to the village that we are doing a water project and VBS in, we are there Wed, Thurs, and Friday and head back to Quito Saturday.  Sunday we are spending the day at Rancho Alto with a church that our church has partnered with for years, then Monday we get to do a little bit of tourists things before heading out and coming home late Tuesday night!  I think our time there will go by really fast, and I am excited to see how God works in and through our kids while we are down there....

Other exciting news for our family, is that Raylee will be a big sister in October!  I recently found out I am pregnant, and we are really excited to be gaining a new little one next fall.  However, this means I have been battling morning sickness (or should I say morning to night sickness) the last few weeks...  After a visit to the doctor  I am headed to Ecuador with a few helpful suggestions to keeping the nauseousness at bay and some Zofran, and am hoping that it'll help while I am down there!

Please pray for us while we are down there,
  • Pray for Aaron and I to make decisions that are best for our team
  • Pray that God will work in and through us during our time in Ecuador
  • Pray for health for everyone on the team
  • Pray for safety traveling
  • Pray that I feel well during the trip and am able to serve the Ecuadorian people and our team
And Here is a picture of Raylee announcing her soon to be Big Sister status!
