Christmas 2013

To sum up the last few weeks it has been crazy!  I know many of you get knee deep in holiday preparations and parties, but I didn't realize how crazy it could be until I added another little girl into the mix.  We are now in Michigan and enjoying some much needed rest and recovery as well as time with family and friends.

We got to start our Christmas celebrations by celebrating with my family in Anchorage.  I love getting together with my family and am so blessed to all live in the same state.  Then Dec. 23rd we flew out late at night to head over to Michigan to see the Meeuwsen family.  After a full night of flying we arrived in Chicago and Paul and Karie picked us up.  We then made the 2.5 hr drive back to Zeeland (with a brief stop at Michigan city to hit up some outlet stores) and shortly after getting home had a chance to unite all the Meeuwsen grand kids together to do Christmas here.

Grandma got them all new matching PJ's!  Below is Raylee holding Skyler and Jackie holding her sister Grace...

And Raylee got to do one of many Dutch tests that night...  and yes she love Banket like all good dutch people...

Since that night we have had many days of hanging out with Adam's (Aaron's brother) family and reconnecting with people we know in Michigan.  It has been great, but reminds me of why it was nice to be here 6 weeks a year ago fall.
